Open casting for the new Jim Sheridan film The Secret Scripture will take place at the Cois Abhann Centre in Inistioge next Wednesday.

The cast and crew will be on location in Inistioge for a week in early February.

Adapted from Sebastian Barry’s novel of the same name, an all star cast, including Eric Bana, Rooney Mara, Theo James, Aidan Turner, and Jack Reynor, brings the story of a one-hundred-year old woman recounting the details of her extended stay at a mental hospital to life, with a script from Sheridan and the late Johnny Ferguson.

The Secret Scripture is expected to be released later this year.

The opening casting is from 10am to 5.30pm
