Theo James’ Indie ‘Franny’ To Premiere At Tribeca Film Festival

The film “Franny,” written and directed by Andrew Renzi will make it’s debut at The 2015 Tribeca Film Festival! Starring Theo James, Dakota Fanning and Richard Gere, the movie was developed by Renzi at The Sundance Institute’s 2013 Screenwriters’ Lab in 2013. There were rumors that “Franny” would premiere earlier this year at The Sundance Film Festival, possibly because of the connection, but sadly, it did not. It has been selected for the World Narrative Competition at Tribeca. The Tribeca Film Festival will be held from April 15th to the 26th in New York City and premiere 64 films!

The synopsis of “Franny” as provided by the festival:

Franny, directed and written by Andrew Renzi. (USA) – World Premiere. Richard Gere delivers a bravura performance as the title character, a rich eccentric who worms his way into the lives of a deceased friend’s young daughter (Dakota Fanning) and her new husband (Theo James). The narrative feature debut of writer-director Andrew Renzi, Franny is a warm and winsome drama about the pangs of the past, and the families we choose.
