“Underworld: Blood Wars” Gets a New Release Date

Variety reports that Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment has decided to move Underworld: Blood Wars back three months from its pre-Halloween slot of Oct. 14 to Jan. 6, 2017.

The four films have grossed $460 million worldwide. Thee franchise launched in 2003 with Underworld, directed by Len Wiseman and starring Kate Beckinsale as the vampire Selene who is killing the Lycans (Werewolves) who allegedly slaughtered her family.
The next three films were 2006’s Underworld: Evolution, 2009’s Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and 2012’s Underworld: Awakening.

Not much is known about the plot of the movie, but Kate Beckinsale returns as Selene and Theo James as David, while other cast members (new and familiar) including Trent Garrett as Michael Corvin, Tobias Menzies as Marius, Lara Pulver as a vampire villain, Clementine Nicholson as Lena, Bradley James as a villain, Charles Dance as Thomas, James Faulkner in an undisclosed role, Peter Andersson in an undisclosed role, Daisy Head as Alexia, Oliver Stark as Gregor, Brian Caspe as Hajna, Anna Foerster is making her feature directorial debut with Blood Wars, and its scripts from Cory Goodman.
Underworld: Blood Wars hits theaters January 6, 2017.
